Privacy Policy for ChloeTrap
Last updated: 14 October 2026
ChloeTrap is a personal desktop application used by one person (its owner) to manage the owner’s own websites and social media pages. It is not offered to the public and it has no other users.
What the app does with Pinterest
- The owner signs in to Pinterest through Pinterest’s official sign-in (OAuth) and gives the app permission.
- The app uses that permission only to read the owner’s own boards and to create pins and boards on the owner’s own account.
What information is used
- A Pinterest access token, which Pinterest gives the app after the owner signs in.
- The owner’s board names and the pins the owner chooses to create (picture, title, description, link).
Where it is kept
- Everything is stored only on the owner’s own computer.
- The app does not send this information to any server of its own, and it does not share, sell or give it to anyone else.
- The app never sees or stores the owner’s Pinterest password.
Analytics and advertising
The app does not use analytics, tracking or advertising.
Removing access
The owner can disconnect the app at any time inside the app, or by removing the app’s permission in Pinterest account settings. Deleting the app’s data folder on the computer removes the stored token.
